Four Newburgh men received felony drug charges this week after heroin and cocaine were found in a vehicle they were riding in, state police said.
The drugs were found after a traffic stop on Route 9W in the Town of Lloyd Monday. Arrested in the incident were 19-year-old Octavious Cooper and 23-year-old Robert Durell. Two other city residents ages 17 and 18 were also charged, but their names weren’t released.
All four were charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as felony tampering with evidence, and arraigned in Town of Plattekill Court. They were sent to Ulster County Jail on $250,000 bail, or $500,000 bond, and are scheduled to appear in Town of Lloyd Court at a later date.
