Chester Academy to perform Done to Death by Fred Carmichael
*A comedy with a murderous twist.*
Done to Death is a 1970 play written by Fred Carmichael. The plot includes five has-been mystery writers who are brought together by a TV network to collaborate on and write a new murder mystery TV series. When real murders are discovered, it is the beginning of a hilarious spoof on the authors themselves.
The play is a farce about the mystery genre and the authors imagine scenes that come to life. The actors also break the “fourth wall” and involve the audience in a fun and unforgettable adventure.
Chester Academy high school students comprise the cast, with stage direction by Lenna Andrews.
Performances: Friday December 15 & Saturday December 16 @ 7:00 p.m. (Snow date Sunday December 17 @ 3:00 p.m.) at the Chester Academy auditorium. Done to Death is presented in special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
