NFA Track Sweeps Divisions at Armory in Competition Against 3,000 East Coast Athletes
While competing against over 3,000 of the top athletes on the East coast at the New York Armory this weekend (1/5-1/6/18), the Newburgh Free Academy Boys Track Team swept all 3 divisions of the 4X400m relay at the Hispanic Games Invitational along with setting a meet record in the sophomore boys Shot Put.
Varsity:1st place 4X400m relay: Ricardo Sing, Ryler Gould, Davin Slater, and Brendon Hanson(3:23.42)
Sophomores: 1st place 4X400m relay: Maleek Powell, Gavin Simmons, Adam Jimenez, and Ryler Gould (3:32.32) 1st place 4X200m relay: Xavier Ewen, Gavin Simmons, Maleek Powell, and Ryler Gould (1:34.56) 1St place Shot put: James Thorpe (41′ 2 1/2″)Freshman:1st place 4X400m relay: Amaury Rudd, David Onwuka, Matthew Warrell, and Leonard Diaz(3:57. 43) 2nd place 4X200m relay: Amuary Rudd, James Onwuka, Matthew Warrell, and Eli Pagan
