New W’ville Development in Third Phase

New W’ville Development in Third Phase

The Rieger Homes Highgrove project, a 71-house development planned about a decade ago and posted with a sign but breaking ground only last year, is currently in phase three, as seen in this picture visible from the entrance to the Woodfield softball field and skate park. Begun last year with the main entrance at Moffat and Bull Roads (as seen in inset), phase one is almost completely built and phase two is already sold out as there is currently a high demand for homes in Washingtonville. While most of the land was cow pasture with no need for tree cutting, the small section behind the Woodfield housing development required some trees to be cut to create an access road. The houses, each on about a quarter acre, are priced at $370,000 and higher. (Photos by Eugenia Moskowitz)
