Former Rockette to Take Final Bow

Joan Butler, director and 38-year owner of The Joan Butler Institute of Dance, is set to cap off her illustrious career with a final recital on Saturday, June 2 at 1:00 at Washingtonville High School. Butler, a former New York City Rockette, will perform a disco and hustle number with her four sons, Dennis, Greg, Jeff and John Butler, and grandsons Eric, Jake and Jeff, and nephew David. She has enjoyed many career highlights, including guest performances on The Ed Sullivan Show and Ted Mack & the Original Amateur Hour and dancing with the Army and Navy.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the studio at First Presbyterian Church, 142 Stage Road in Monroe, and at the door in Washingtonville High School starting an hour before the recital. Proceeds will benefit the Washingtonville High School Junior Class. For information, call 845-782-576
