Moving Up at Fostertown
The long-awaited words were being sung throughout the halls of many surrounding schools “School is out for the summer!” However, just prior to the school year ending students took part in various concerts, musicals, moving up ceremonies and graduation. In some cases graduation might mean the parting of friendships as high school grads, now alumni of their respective schools prepare to venture into the new world of jobs, military or college.
In the case of moving up ceremonies many classmates will reunite in the 1st grade, 6th grade and 9th grade. Yet, even at these levels choices of the next level may cause separation anxiety. Come September new acquaintances are created and the new school year repeats as all the past ones are forgotten.
Congratulations and best wishes for the future to the Class of 2018!
