Curtin and Diorio Named PG All Tourney Team
Tim Curtin (class of 2019) of Washingtonville and Christian Diorio (class of 2020) of Marlboro were named to the Perfect Game (PG) Super 25 Mid-Atlantic Regional All-Tourney Team. The tournament was held in Vineland, New Jersey.
Curtin, who plays outfield, batted .333 and posted a .667 on base percentage throughout the 3-day tourney. “Tim has been a good addition to our Bulldog Program. He played a great outfield during the tourney, and was productive at the plate, stated Bulldog Coach Rich Lepere. Curtin attends school at Washingtonville High School.
Diorio received double honors as he was named All-Tourney Team offensively and also as an All-Tourney pitcher. Diorio batted .444 and reached base successfully on half his plate appearances. He gave up 1 earned run over 7 innings against a tough South Troy Dodgers team. “This is my third year coaching Diorio and he continues to improve every year as a player and person. He’s a tough athlete and plays multiple positions. I recruited him as a pitcher/first baseman, played him as an outfielder a lot last season and recently as a 3rd baseman. He’s one of those special players you could play anywhere and feel comfortable he will get the job done,” stated Bulldogs Coach Lepere. Diorio attends Marlboro High School.
The Perfect Game promotes the game of baseball and hosts some of the highest quality amateur events while providing meaningful information to MLB Organizations and college coaches.
