Eagle Scout Projects Will Create Walking Paths in Blooming Grove
The Town of Blooming Grove is assisting two young men complete their Eagle Scout projects.
Tyler Fuentes is creating a Memorial Walking Path at the Firehouse in South Blooming Grove. David Tighe is creating a walking path for the dogs along the path down to the creek at the Blooming Grove Humane Society.
Blooming Grove Highway Superintendent Wayne Kirkpatrick has offered to help the boys with their projects during his spare time (including bringing some excess gravel at no cost to the Town). Councilman Steven Amante offered to help as well, noting to the boys that the many wheelbarrows it will require to complete their projects will likely be very heavy. Kirkpatrick said “We are happy to create a partnership with the Boy Scouts of America. Anytime we are investing in local children and helping them develop leadership skills we are making a sound investment in their future. We are excited to be involved with both projects and look forward to working with both of these fine young men and their fellow scouts.”
