Art Studio a Splash of Color in Washingtonville
By Eugenia Moskowitz
Local artist Sue Giordano has come a long way from the city where she attended Pratt Institute and worked as an art teacher in the New York City public school system. After offering The Art Cottage in Campbell Hall with her mother Florence, and it being a big success for years, she bought her art space from Campbell Hall to 2 South Street next to Nailed It! Hardware in the Washingtonville . Giordano offers painting in water color and acrylic on paper, canvas, and other surfaces, as well as multiple other mediums. The Art Cottage also hosts birthday, bridal, and girls’/guys’-night-out parties, boy and girl scout troops, and other groups. Workshops with critique provided by Giordano are available. The studio’s official ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration will be July 28.
