Mt. Lodge FD Clambake and Pig-Roast Held

Clams were served — here shown being shucked on the half-shell but there were also steamers — while a whole roast pig was carved and dished out at the Mountain Lodge Fire Company’s annual Clambake & Pig Roast at Hil-Mar Lodge on Aug. 11. And while the weather did not cooperate, and rain fell steadily for the first few hours, people kept coming in and enjoying the main fare as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, cold salads, and libations, while some intrepid children went into the pool. Great memories were made alongside a backdrop of fun firehouse humor in a beautiful location. (Photos by Eugenia Moskowitz)
