Washingtonville Kiwanis Fall Fundraiser Held –
By Eugenia Moskowitz
The Washingtonville Kiwanis Club’s annual fall chrysanthemum and pumpkin sale took place on Sept. 23 at the Washingtonville Farmers Market, where people came out in droves to purchase large healthy mums and all sizes of pumpkins. People even guessed the weight of a giant pumpkin and entered their guesses in a raffle. Others purchased mums and/or pumpkins and donated them to the Washingtonville Beautification Committee to be placed around the center of town on hay bales or beside the many scarecrows now displayed along Main Street.
The Kiwanis are dedicated to establishing and building upon scholarships and other programs that directly help the students of the Washingtonville Central School District.
