3 Teens Plucked out of the Hudson When Kayak Adventure Goes Bad

Three Teens Plucked out of the Hudson When Kayak Adventure Goes Bad

It was smiles all around at the Cornwall Yacht Club after a kayak teen adventure just south of the yacht club went from very bad to good.   When the kayak overturned the 3 teens ended up in the frigid waters of the Hudson on Sunday,  the first day of freezing weather in the Lower Hudson Valley.  But teams of rescuers came when Storm King requested fire boats from Newburgh, West Point and Vails Gate. Highland Engine Company and Town/Village and New York State Police came to the scene as well. With a helicopter flying overhead the 3 subjects were located, plucked out of the water, and transported to the Cornwall Yacht Club where they were met by EMS from New Windsor and Cornwall and then transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.
