Pearl Harbor Day Remembered
Marlboro High School, Marlboro, NY, hosted their annual December 7th, Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day on Tuesday, December 4th in their auditorium. Mr. Igo, a former teacher (Deceased) at the High School initiated the ceremony in testament to those military who lost their lives as a result of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
This year, Asst. Principal Cortalano, coordinated the event with the help from Principal Ryan Lawler, Supt. of Schools, Michael Brooks, Mr. Norman Silverstein Jr., faculty, students and staff.Mr. Silverstein (US Navy Retired), emceed the program, which began with the posting of the Colors. The Color Guard from Newburgh Free Academy’s Air Force JR ROTC did the honors.
Guest Speaker was Mr. Paul Bonofiglio, US Navy Veteran.
Refreshments were served immediately following the ceremony.
