St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2019
Newburgh –The Kaplan Family Birthing Center at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) welcomed its first baby of 2019, a beautiful baby girl, Hayden Houck, weighing in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 20 inches long. Proud parents, Kimberly and Christopher Houck of Maybrook welcomed their newest addition shortly after 7 p.m. on January 2.
Baby Hayden is the second generation born at SLCH, following her father Christopher 30 years prior. Hayden was delivered by Clarice E. Schwartz, Certified Nurse Midwife of Cornerstone Family Healthcare. “The entire team was amazing,” said Kimberly. “Everything was great and seamless from the moment I arrived to when Hayden was born; my nurses, the doctor, just everyone. If I were to have another baby, I am definitely going to deliver at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.”
SLCH’s Kaplan Family Birthing Center has undergone extensive renovation and features some of the newest technologies in the industry, including a wireless fetal monitoring system that allows women in labor to walk freely throughout their labor room.
