Washingtonville Cadette Troop Jars Help Families “Unplug”
Cadette Troop (529) has assembled “conversation jars”. As part of one of their required journeys, the girls decided to Take Action towards helping families “unplug” from their phones when they are dining out. These jars are meant to encourage families to shut their phones off and take choose a random conversation card from the jar. Each of these cards were thoughtfully written by the girls in our troop. It is their hopes that these jars promote more conversations among family and friends and also to take the time away from their devices. Presently, a few jars can be found around town at Brother Brunos, Amada’s Kitchen, and Betty’s. If any local restaurants are interested in using these jars (which are free!) they can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
