Honorary NWPD Officer Joey

Ten months ago, the New Windsor Ambulance received a 911 call for a child not responding. Within three minutes, two New Windsor paramedics were on scene and found Joey in cardiac arrest. CPR and ALS were performed with the assistance of New Windsor Police. The police officers drove the ambulance to allow more providers to assist in Joey’s care. Prior to arriving at the hospital, Joey’s heart was beating again, and he was breathing. It was found that he had a massive aneurysm. Ten months later, Joey came to the New Windsor Police Department and became an honorary police officer. His father, an officer with New Windsor PD, and mother said Joey will make a full recovery, thanks to the fast care provided by ambulance and police personnel. (Photo provided)
