The Week In Review-The Weekend Ahead

Construction Starts at Taft

Washingtonville’s Taft Elementary School began pre-construction of its new library rotunda two weeks ago when the longstanding portable classrooms off the center ramp of the building were removed. Classes that had been held in those rooms are currently taking place in the school’s art room and library as those subjects moved into mobile mode and now will come to the children inside their classrooms for the remainder of the school year. The current kindergarten classrooms at Taft will be filled in September with other grades as reconfiguration of grade location at Taft takes place at the start of the 2019-2020 school year, when all of the district’s full-day kindergarten classes will take place at the new state-of-the-art kindergarten wing at Round Hill Elementary School.
