Orange County’s K-9 Maverick Takes 2nd In State Trials

The United States Police Canine Association held National Detector Trials in Albany this past week. Competing against 50 K-9 teams from around the United States, the OCSO’s Deputy Michael Muller and our newest K-9 Maverick placed 2nd overall. Sheriff DuBois states, “Our K-9 program has a long award-winning history and Deputy Muller and K-9 Maverick are continuing that tradition.” The Orange County Sheriff’s K-9 Program, supervised by Sergeant Dustin Palen, provides training to over 20 agencies throughout the region.
