Trees For Tribs Volunteers Complete Annual Sweep

Volunteers from the Blooming Grove and Washingtonville area gathered last Saturday at Otterkill and Taylor Roads and made a wide sweep, removing over 2 acres of invasive multi flora rose bushes and tended to over 100 trees.

Contributing to the hard work was Boy Scout Troop 416 in Washingtonville, Cub Scout Pack 16 in Washingtonville, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson Troop 317 and the BGNY Conservation Advisory Commission.  Together with other local volunteers they helped makes this Riverkeeper Sweep and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation event the best turnout to date.
