Little Britain Military Breakfast
Children at Little Britain Elementary School honored their active military families at the school’s annual military breakfast. Principal Sagrario Rudecindo-O’Neill greeted the families assembled for a hot breakfast by saying, “As a military family, I know the toll it takes. Siblings must act the roles of adults, and single parents at home must take up the slack. Freedom of speech, religion, the right to vote, and even standing here as a principal — I thank you from the bottom of my heart for these things. I have all these opportunities because of you. It is a debt that can never truly be repaid.”
She explained the White Table, where each element on the table symbolizes an aspect of the sacrifice Americans make for their freedoms. The Little Britain chorus sang patriotic songs, and a good hearty breakfast was enjoyed by all.
