Newburgh Fast Pitch Hall of Fame Baseball Inducts Nick Dellanno

Sunday June 2 in Colden Manor at Spruce Lodge,  members of the City of Newburgh Fast Pitch Hall of Fame held their annual dinner. This year they inducted Nick Dellanno into the Hall, who played from 1950-1990. The teams included Lepontondale, AC Steak House, Argenio Blacktoppers, and Sams Hot dogs. He played center and left field and also second base. Frank Ferguson presented him his plaque and it will be placed in the Hall. Also receiving a Hall of Fame jacket was David Pruitt. The Hall of Fame was created in 1991 by Delano-Hitch Restoration Fund. The Hall of Famers building is behind the Activity Center at Recreation Park. The members meet once every month and give a scholarship to students from area schools.
