Town of Newburgh’s Chadwick Lake Filled With Lap 4 Life Supporters
This annual run/walk is run by Maddalena Casabianca-Reade, who started Lap4Life after losing her brother, Dr. Angelo Casabianca, to Desmoid Tumor Disease. His birthday coincides with the Lap4Life event that is held in his memory each year at the Lake. Lap 4 Life is a local non-profit organization created to raise money and awareness for both Desmoid Tumors and Organ Transplant Research.
This was the eleventh annual Run/Walk, held on June 15, and included over 1100 participants plus hundreds of attendees, including Newburgh Schools, teachers, families, and administrators
and ” We Are Newburgh”, all proudly boasting a theme of “WE are how we treat each other and NOTHING MORE”
Newburgh Town Supervisor Gil Piquadio welcomed everyone to the park. Events included a 4 mile Run, a 4 mile Walk, and a Kid’s Fun Run.
The overall run winner was Alex Florio who ran the course in 22 minutes and 37 seconds. The top
female finisher was Betsy Eickelberg from Leonia with a gun time of 26 minutes. Full results for each
