Keep It Moving Newburgh!
The parking lot of the Recreation Department was filled with vendors and community groups on Saturday June 22 when “Keep it Moving” held their 5K Race/Walk in the city of Newburgh. Everyone was ready to start the race in Memory of Zane Madel-Michalak who died of a opioid overdose in 2017. His mother, Lauren Mandel, founded Keep it Moving for awareness of how opioid addiction affects families . Meanwhile, inside the fenced area of Delano-Hitch Stadium community groups had information to hand out and to talk to people who were on hand. City of Newburgh Police Department escorted the runners through the streets of Newburgh, who finished the race back at Recreation field. (Photos by Bob McCormick)
