Cars + Pets = Love

The 6th Annual “Operation Paws” Car Show by the Hudson Valley Hot Rods car club to benefit the Humane Society of Blooming Grove took place on July 14 at Lasser Park in Salisbury Mills. Chrome? Check. Sunshine? Check. Cars from every decade since their invention? Check, and then some.
With classic tunes from Elvis to “American Pie” spun by car club president and Washingtonville Police Department’s own Paulie Niemann, awards for a variety of best car details, a food truck serving up wings, and a table to accept donations and get involved with the humane society and the work it does to rescue, protect, and adopt out dogs and cats, the day was an enjoyable way to spend a hot summer Sunday.
