The Week In Review-The Weekend Ahead

Night at the Library

Night at the Library

Not your mom’s Nerf war, the Moffat Library’s “Nerf Alien Escape” event for children in grades 3-5 involved shooting rocket ships, racing through the asteroid belt, protecting fellow astronauts, stopping to refuel (in lollipops earned with good aim), and taking out moving interstellar targets in the correct order in order to survive. If escape wasn’t possible the first time around the obstacle course, children repeated the interstellar trip, with multiple chances to perfect their marksmanship until the universe condensed to a black hole and the event was over. Here, one of Moffat’s littlest cosmonauts defied gravity as she traveled through space and time. (Photo by Eugenia Moskowitz)
