St. Mary’s Christmas Pageant Shines Bright
By Eugenia Moskowitz
The annual Christmas Pageant, put on by children at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Washingtonville on Dec. 14 as arranged and organized by Rory Kahn, starred a cast of characters from Bethlehem in colorful human, angel, and animal costumes. Running for 45 minutes and with some hilariously delivered one-liners (from Luke Broge as Joseph, among others), the show sparkled as brightly as the tinsel halos hovering over the angel girls’ heads.
With a cast of 57 children, the Credo chorus of seven adult vocalists and three guitarists providing beautiful Christmas carol accompaniment, and many volunteers from the parish, the show was a classic success. (Spoiler alert: the story has a happy ending.)
