City of Newburgh Holds Bootcamp On Film Production
With film production spiking in our area, and crews eager to find suitable spots for staging their sets, the City of Newburgh is jumping on the bandwagon with its “Below the Line Bootcamp 3.0.” Last week they held an orientation that covered walkie talkie use, steps in the production process, and how production roles work together. Lunch was catered through a partnership with Pamela’s On The Hudson. Students started out learning set decorating. This free workforce development initiative prepares youth to work in film. It was sponsored by the City of Newburgh, the film production company Umbra of Newburgh/Choice Films Production, and made possible through CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) funding.
