Town of Newburgh Triple Homicide Suspect Arraigned
Update: Suspect Kaliek Goode-Forde was arraigned this afternoon, 1/27 On 3 counts of murder and attempted murder. A third child (a boy) was rescued by a neighbor. Police have been searching for the weapon.
Town of Newburgh Chief of Police Donald Bruce Campbell released a report this morning on murder suspect Kaliek Goode-Ford age 30 of Newburgh who has been charged in connection with a triple homicide that occurred on January 26th at about 8 am at 1751 Route 300 in the area of Chadwick Lake. Goode-Ford is believed to be the lone shooter in the incident that left Jimmy Crisantos age 27, Shatavia Crisantos age 26 and Giovanni Tambino age 9 (son of Shatavia from a previous relationship) deceased. A fourth victim , a young boy who is 3 years old, whose name is being withheld is in critical but stable condition with multiple gunshot wounds.
A clear motive for the crime is still under investigation however a relationship between the suspect and victims has been established. Goode-Ford is expected to be arraigned this afternoon on three counts of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, as well as additional lesser charges. Chief Campbell said ” I would like to thank the hard working men and women of the Town of Newburgh Police Department, New York State Police, Orange County District Attorney’s Office and Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force for their professionalism, commitment and tireless efforts in bringing justice to these victims.”
