Irish Pride! New Windsor Resident Named Grand Marshal

The Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Committee announced New Windsor resident Kevin R. Cummings as the Grand Marshal of the 44th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade.  The parade will take place in Goshen on Sunday, March 15 with a step off time of 2 p.m.

Cummings is originally from Staten Island but moved to New Windsor with his wife of 41 years, Rose and together they raised their three children, Rebecca, Logan, and Sean.  They are also the proud grandparents of Mia.

A twenty-year member of the AOH Father Donald J. Whelan Division 2 in Cornwall, Cummings held many offices including division president as well as serving on the AOH boards  for the Orange County and New York State.  For his service, he was recognized and presented with the Commodore John Barry Medal in 2017.

Says Cummings of the honor, “Words cannot adequately express my sincere gratitude and immense pride in being named the Grand Marshal for the 2020 Orange County Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Parade.  I will march proudly  for many reasons including all the good Irish Americans who have come into my life.”

The parade will line up at the Scotchtown Ave. exit of the Orange county Government Center.  The parade will end at the Government Center.
