Orange County Arts Council and Newburgh Art Supply Announces the Second Annual Instagram Art Exhibit #OCNYArtSeen

(GOSHEN, NY) Orange County Arts Council in partnership with Newburgh Art Supply announces its second annual Instagram Art Exhibit. Submissions are due via Instagram by May 1, 2020. No email or mailing submissions will be accepted. There are no entry fees. Works chosen for this exhibit will be posted on both Instagram and will be displayed in the Orange County Government Center in Goshen, NY, later this year.

Now that many of us are at home, it’s a wonderful time to let your creative side blossom. Orange County Arts Council invites everyone to get creative, think out of the box and send us an image of artwork or a photo. Perhaps inspiration might be found in a corner of your backyard or on the coffee table in your living room. A work recently completely also qualifies.

Please note: all artwork and photos must be from Orange County resident artists, photos and artwork must be from 2020, and all hateful or offensive content will be reported and removed. To be considered for the display selection, you must include both the Hashtag: #OCNYArtSeen as well as tag @OrangeCountyArtsCouncil. Within the Instagram caption, please include title of the piace, artist’s name, medium, name of Orange County city/town, and #OCNYArtSeen @orangecountyartscouncil.

Winners will be direct messaged through Instagram if an artist’s work is chosen for display. 50-100 images by the Orange County Arts Outreach Committee will be chosen for display at the Orange County Government Center. The artwork’s label will be created from what is included in the Instagram caption. This exhibition’s date will be announced, but is expected to be later in the year.

Online visitors will be encouraged to view all submissions to #OCNYArtSeen and @OrangeCountyArtsCouncil. This is an opportunity to have over one thousand viewers participating artists’ work. The Arts Council will share and repost some of the submissions.

Selected images will be printed to create a small flip-book highlighting some of the #OCNYArtSeen submissions. The book will be available for sale online by demand. Only those selected will receive a Direct Message through Instagram with the option to “opt-in” to participate in having your work included in the book.

Any questions may be directly messaged at @orangecountyartscouncil or emailed to Please visit us on Instagram at
