Assemblyman Schmitt Secures Emergency 3000 Bottle Water Delivery to
South Blooming Grove
Assemblyman Colin Schmitt today secured an emergency 3000 bottle water delivery to the Village of South Blooming Grove following an urgent request from the Mayor.
The village is in the process of using a state grant to build a new water treatment facility due to municipal water quality issues. Many village residents depend on bottled water during this time. The ongoing COVID-19 crisis has made it difficult for many residents to purchase the amount of bottled water that they need for critical daily uses. Mayor LoFranco directly requested assistance from Assemblyman Schmitt who was able to coordinate a donation of 3000 bottles of water from Coca-Cola.
The bottles arrived Thursday afternoon from Coca-Cola with assistance from the South Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Department and will be distributed to village residents in need by the village government.
Village residents who are in need of some bottled water can contact Village Hall directly at 845-782-2600.
Assemblyman Schmitt stated, “The COVID-19 crisis continues to have far reaching impacts. When Mayor LoFranco reached out with an urgent request for assistance in securing bottled water I went to work to find a solution. Thank you to Coca-cola for their generous donation to Village residents of these 3000 bottles of water to help in this time of need. Working together we will overcome this crisis.”
Mayor Jimmy LoFranco stated, “I cannot thank Assemblyman Colin Schmitt enough. Time after time he is there for the residents of South Blooming Grove and all residents of his district. Colin did not hesitate when I requested his assistance and worked day and night to find a solution for us. Thank you to Assemblyman Schmitt and thank you to coca-cola for your generosity to our residents in this time of extraordinary need.”
