New Windsor Music Academy Goes Virtual

New Windsor Music Academy Goes Virtual

  • A music school in the Hudson Valley, the New Windsor Music Academy, has converted over 80% of its students into taking online music lessons via Zoom. Mike Benninger, the owner of the Academy, made this transition due to the current COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing protocols. With New York getting hit the hardest by the impact of COVID-19, having an outlet for their students to stay active is exactly the platform that they’re creating. Their goal is to keep kids active and engaged in learning to play musical instruments, so when their business had to stop doing in-person sessions it was a no-brainer to switch to online lessons. The reception has been amazing! The students and their parents have been extremely receptive. It keeps the students’ minds sharp and gives the parents a break in the day
